MUSE
at NOC 2007, Kista (near Stockholm), June 19-21, 2007
MUSE
will be present with 12 papers about QoS architectures and optical access at the
12th European Conference on Networks and Optical Communications.
Subproject
C on Fixed Mobile Convergence will show a demo of QoS over an Ethernet access
platform and nomadic service capabilities. The event will be hosted by ACREO and
co-located with the 14th MUSE consortium meeting hosted by Ericsson. (Website: http://noc2007.acreo.se/)
BB
Europe 2007, Antwerp, December 3-6, 2007
This
year's edition will be hosted by MUSE partner Alcatel-Lucent and organised by
IBBT.
The
call for papers is open, deadline is July 17th (for more info: http://www.bbeurope.org).
MUSE
and other European projects in BB for All are reaching their conclusions
and will show some demos at the conference.
For
the first time, the conference will be complemented with a professional
exhibition on BB technology (cf. http://www.broadbandeurope.biz/).
MUSE
Summer School, Budapest, July 5, 2007
The
one-day MUSE Summer School is organised by BUTE and will be co-located with the
IST Mobile Summit in Budapest on July 1-5, 2007.
Tutorials
will focus on fixed mobile convergence support in a broadband access network and
tackle aspects like network architecture, security, policy and mobility
management. More information about registration and detailed agenda will soon be

MUSE
passed a successful technical audit on March 5, 2007
The
technical reviewers and representative of the European Commissions were pleased
with the progress in the 3rd year of the project. They could also enjoy
demonstrators of the Service Plane and Monitoring Plane realised by Subproject B
on Multimedia Broadband. A summary of the achievements can be found on the MUSE

White
paper on MUSE business models
The
white paper provides a survey of the different technical roles and business
roles that act on a multiservice access network. It discusses the
responsibilities of each role and how atomic roles can be combined in real life
