successfully completed phase I
A
successful technical audit was held at the premises of TNO in Delft on March
9th. It included the demonstration of a multi-service, multi-edge Ethernet
access lab trial developed in subproject C. A summary of the main achievements
of phase I is available under the newsitems on the website http://www.ist-muse.org
.All public deliverables of phase I (covering activities since the start in
January 2004) can be requested from the same website.
10th
MUSE consortium meeting
More
than 120 participants attended the 10th Consortium Meeting hosted by TNO in Den
Haag end of March. The network architecture definitions of phase II, which
started in January 2006, have progressed well in the areas like Fixed Mobile
Convergence, Multi Media Service Enablers in Access, Multi-Provider management
of residential gateways, zero-touch deployment of remote VDSL units, and
improvements to the test suite.

2006 will be organised by MUSE partner HHI-Fraunhofer Gesellschaft in Berlin on
July 11-13. The MUSE Summer School will be co-located with NOC in Berlin
on July 14 and is organised by NTUA. The MUSE Summer School will include
4 tutorials on network architecture and QoS in broadband access. More info:
