Abstract:
DTF1.9
part A provides a top-level description of the GSB architecture for a
multi-service access network that provides service connectivity between
end-user terminals and edge nodes. It summarises the main recommendations
that result from the MUSE research on business models, secure forwarding
models, AAA, and QoS. It also discusses additional capabilities for
improved delivery of multimedia services and prepares the fixed access
network for convergence with mobile services.
DTF1.9
part B reports on recent results of a selection of network architectural
studies conducted in the last year of MUSE and related activities in
standardisation.
General topics addressed are IP sessions, monitoring by means of
truncated packet inspection, flows, and enhanced network security.
Specifically for the support of SME services in a MUSE architecture, the
deliverable addresses multi-party VoIP and VPN.
