Network architecture: detailed solutions for individual architectural issues

Abstract: The deliverable describes the MUSE access architecture, which provides secure connectivity between end user terminals and edge nodes. It is suited for multi service deployment in a multi provider environment. It contains a generic part and two specific network models: Model 1 "L2 Ethernet forwarding" and Model 2 "L3 IPv4/IPv6 forwarding". Model 1 is fully described, including the dataplane, control plane, QoS, autoconfiguration, and multicast. As for Model 2, only the dataplane is defined. Other aspects of the Model 2 architecture will be elaborated in a future deliverable.
